Merchant Questions:

Q: How much does the e-ValuCheck service cost the merchant? Top
A: The e-ValuCheck service costs only $1.50 per check processed with a $9.95 monthly customer service fee. There is NO application fee.

Q: How much does the e-ValuCheck service cost the online purchaser or customer? Top
A: Nothing. e-ValuCheck processing is free to the purchaser

Q: How do I sign-up to begin accepting e-ValuCheck checks with my web-store? Top
A: View our e-ValuCheck Products for detailed information
A: Miva users can sign-up here.

Q: How are e-ValuCheck fees charged to the merchant? Top
A: e-ValuCheck will automatically deduct the $1.50 per transaction on a daily basis for each transaction processed. These fees will be deducted via a check drawn upon your account as specified during sign-up. Your monthly customer service charge will be deducted via a check drawn from the same account occurring every 30 days from your original sign-up date.

Q: How does an e-ValuCheck merchant get paid? Top
A: Every Friday, merchants will be issued a check or direct deposit for all payments received during the previous week. This one week holding period means fewer deposits to your merchant account and allows for any handling of return items. Thus when the merchant receives their check, they know, with a 95% level of certainty, that none of these payments will be returned by their bank.

Q: What if I do business outside of the United States? Top
A: Currently, e-ValuCheck can only draw checks from bank accounts located within the United States. If you do not have a U.S. bank account, we are currently setting up agreements with several offshore banks to accept e-ValuCheck payments for their merchant accounts.

Q: How quickly can I get approved for an e-ValuCheck merchant account? Top
A: Within 48 business hours of submitting our online application. (click here)

Q: How do I setup the Miva Merchant e-ValuCheck payment gateway module? Top
A: Detailed instructions can be found at our web site, visit http://www.evalucheck.com/support_downloads.html for more information.

Q: How do I know what transactions have been processed through e-ValuCheck and their status? Top
A: e-ValuCheck merchants can login to the e-ValuCheck administrative system to view detailed reports about their transactions. Visit http://www.evalucheck.net/login

Q: Can an e-ValuCheck merchant control the minimum and maximum transaction size allowed? Top
A: Yes, by setting the "Transaction Preferences" via the merchant administrative system. Visit http://www.evalucheck.net/login

Q: How are e-ValuCheck checks able to be digitally signed by a customer during checkout? Top
A: e-ValuCheck will automatically insert bank accepted legal language in the signature field. This language tells the user that the check issuer authorizes the check being deposited without a signature. The consumer's electronic signature has been recorded for legal and verification purposes.

Q: How do I change the bank account that my e-ValuCheck payments are deposited to? Top
A: You must contact our customer service department with you updated bank account information and request the change. Call 949-888-1006 and ask for support.

End-Users:
Q: Why do I get to pick another payment option when I click the e-ValuCheck "I Agree" button? Top
A: This message depends upon the merchant and how they have configured their system. This typically means that e-ValuCheck was unable to verify the customer or banking account information or has exceeded transaction limits set by the merchant. In all cases you will be re-directed to the merchant's check-out options page to choose another payment option.

Q: How long will it take for my e-ValuCheck check to clear? Top
A: Your e-ValuCheck will clear similar to your normal checks, but usually in 2-4 business days.

Q: When can the merchant I purchased from using e-ValuCheck ship my order? Top
A: This varies from merchant to merchant based on their shipping policies and procedures. Please check with the merchant to confirm their shipping policy.

Q: Will I receive a copy of the check I used with e-ValuCheck along with my other cancelled checks? Top
A: Yes, as long as you have chosen to receive canceled checks from your bank, you will receive your e-ValuCheck checks as you would with the checks you write from your checkbook.

Q: Is my banking account information stored in a safe and secure manner? Top
A: Yes, Your bank account information is transmitted in an encrypted state via VPN and then stored in a password protected database behind state-of-the-art firewall protection. Our system is monitored on a 24 x 7 basis for any irregular activity which is immediately reported and acted upon.

Q: How do I change my checking account information on file at e-ValuCheck? Top
A: e-ValuCheck has an account maintenance screen that allows for changes to your personal account set-up information. Your unique password is required for access to this information.

Q: What about the signature on the check? Top
A:e-ValuCheck creates a paper draft drawn against the consumer's bank account. This document is called a demand draft and unlike a check it does not require a signature. However, just like a paper check, this demand draft will be returned to the consumer at month end in the same manner as all other paper checks issued against their checking account. e-ValuCheck does capture the consumer's authorization of each transaction and this authorization is recorded for legal and verification purposes.

Q: How can I accept e-ValuCheck using my Web site? Top
A: Becoming an e-ValuCheck merchant is FREE.
